Terawork - The thought of creating TERAWORK came to our founder in 2015 after an unpleasant experience where he engaged and worked remotely with an unknown person he met online to help complete a tech project. While it is clear he needed help from an expert for a few days, he didn’t get one. What contributed to the bad experience include lack of online platforms within the region with an end-to-end process for employing remote manpower in a flexible and safe manner.

In response, he created a process he uses repeatedly to find and engage, on on-demand basis, independent workers for his tasks. Unlike before, the process enables both himself and his independent worker trust working remotely with each other. He decided to build the process into a technology for a lot of people to benefit from.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description

• We are looking for a commercially driven Buyer – Non-Food to oversee the procurement and inventory management of non-food product categories.
• The successful candidate will ensure the right products are available at the right time while optimising inventory levels, supplier performance, and purchasing costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure and replenish assigned non-food product categories.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure consistent product availability across stores.
• Analyse sales trends and demand patterns to support purchasing decisions.
• Prevent stock-outs and reduce excess inventory through effective inventory planning.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while ensuring timely product delivery.
• Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for assortment improvement.
• Conduct competitor price and product benchmarking.
• Generate inventory and purchasing reports to support business decisions.
• Ensure accurate procurement documentation and compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with category managers, warehouse teams, and store operations to improve inventory efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing & Supply, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in buying or procurement within the retail, supermarket, or FMCG industry.
• Experience managing non-food categories such as household products, personal care, home essentials, baby products, stationery, electronics, or general merchandise.
• Strong commercial acumen and supplier negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/inventory management systems.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.

Salary
N150,000 – N190,000 gross monthly.
