The Lagos State Government has opened recruitment for clinical personnel across its 29 secondary healthcare facilities as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery and address workforce shortages.
A statement by the Lagos State Health Service Commission on Monday said Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved the exercise to fill vacancies in government general hospitals across the state.
“In line with the THEMES Agenda of the present administration and in fulfilling the promise of qualitative healthcare delivery to the residents of Lagos State, Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, approved the recruitment of clinical staff to fill the existing vacancies in the twenty-nine (29) Secondary Healthcare Facilities in the State,” the commission stated.
According to the commission, the recruitment is aimed at reducing the impact of brain drain on the health sector and improving access to quality healthcare for residents.
The available positions include consultants in various specialties, senior registrars, medical officers, dental officers, pharmacists, physiotherapists, medical laboratory scientists, optometrists, radiographers, nursing officers, clinical psychologists and health assistants.
