Job Title: HSSE Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

• The HSSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the company's Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) management system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, client standards, and industry best practices.
• The successful candidate will support safe operations, conduct audits, manage incident reporting, and drive continuous improvement in HSSE performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the company's HSSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and safety audits.
• Ensure compliance with client HSSE requirements, statutory regulations, and industry standards.
• Coordinate safety inductions, toolbox talks, drills, and HSSE training programs.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with safe work practices.
• Maintain HSSE records, reports, statistics, and performance KPIs.
• Participate in emergency response planning and emergency drills.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, clients, and external auditors during inspections and audits.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 management systems.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.

Salary
N150,000 / month.
