Job Title: HR / Administration Manager (Male)

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who is passionate about building high-performing teams, strengthening organizational systems, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Managing Director on strategic human resource and administrative initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, systems, and processes that support business objectives.
  • Lead the company’s performance management system, ensuring employees are accountable, productive, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and cultivate a high-performance, values-driven workplace culture.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, talent management, succession planning, and workforce planning.
  • Ensure full compliance with labour laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic HR advisory services to management on employee relations, disciplinary matters, organizational restructuring, and workforce development.
  • Develop and monitor HR metrics and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Manage employee welfare, compensation administration, leave management, and staff records.
  • Supervise administrative functions to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement systems that enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
  • Professional HR certification such as CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or CIPD will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Previous experience within the Oil & Gas industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in performance management, organizational development, employee relations, and policy implementation.
  • Proven ability to develop systems and processes that improve organizational performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience or knowledge in Quality Control (QC) or Quality Management Systems will be an added advantage.
  • Must be proactive, highly organized, confidential, and capable of working directly with executive leadership.
  • Must be available for immediate resumption.
