We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Plumber

Location: Lekki / Oniru - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced, skilled, and dependable Plumber to install, inspect, maintain, and repair plumbing systems across the mall facility.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of water supply, drainage, sewage, and sanitary systems while minimizing downtime and responding promptly to maintenance requests.
  • The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment throughout the facility
    Inspect and troubleshoot:
    • Water supply systems
    • Drainage systems
    • Sewage and waste systems
    • Toilets, sinks, faucets, and urinals
  • Detect and repair:
    • Water leaks
    • Blocked pipes and drains
    • Faulty valves and pumps
    • Damaged plumbing fixtures
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on all plumbing infrastructure
  • Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies and maintenance requests
  • Install and replace pipes, fittings, valves, and plumbing fixtures as required
  • Ensure proper functioning of water storage tanks, pumps, and pressure systems
  • Monitor water usage and report wastage or system inefficiencies
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • Health and safety regulations
    • Building codes
    • Company maintenance procedures
  • Work closely with Facility Officers, electricians, and other maintenance personnel to resolve facility issues
  • Recommend improvements to plumbing systems to enhance efficiency and reduce maintenance costs
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe after repairs

Requirements

  • Minimum of Trade Test Certificate, OND, or equivalent qualification in Plumbing or a related technical field
  • Professional plumbing certification is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in plumbing installation and maintenance, preferably in commercial buildings, shopping malls, hotels, hospitals, or large facilities
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Plumbing systems and installations
    • Water supply and drainage systems
    • Pumps and water distribution systems
    • Pipe fitting and maintenance techniques
    • Preventive maintenance practices
  • Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings and technical specifications
  • Excellent troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills
  • Knowledge of plumbing tools, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Physically fit and capable of handling demanding maintenance tasks
  • Willingness to work weekends, shifts, or respond to emergency call-outs when required
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and accountability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in shopping malls, commercial facilities, estates, or large residential developments
  • Knowledge of water treatment systems, booster pumps, and sewage treatment systems is an added advantage
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (HSE) or related safety training will be an added advantage.

Salary
N100,000 - N200,000 per month (Negotiable).
