Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Ibafo, Ogun
Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to join HR team, to manage the full spectrum of Human Resources functions within our Cashew operations.
- The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HR administration, employee relations, recruitment, and workforce management, with hands-on expertise in Virdi Biometric Attendance Software for managing staff and factory workers' attendance records.
- The successful candidate must be resident in or around Ibafo and possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Attendance & Workforce Management:
- Manage and administer the Virdi Biometric Attendance System for all employees and contract workers.
- Monitor daily attendance, lateness, absenteeism, overtime, and shift schedules.
- Generate and reconcile attendance reports for payroll processing.
- Ensure biometric data accuracy and maintain attendance records.
- Coordinate attendance-related issues and resolve discrepancies promptly.
HR Operations:
- Handle recruitment, onboarding, induction, and exit processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Support payroll preparation through accurate attendance and leave management.
- Administer employee leave, welfare, disciplinary procedures, and grievance management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
Employee Relations:
- Foster positive employee relations and workplace harmony.
- Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
- Conduct employee engagement and welfare programs.
- Provide HR guidance and support to management and employees.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare periodic HR and workforce reports for management review.
- Monitor manpower utilization and support workforce planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of HR Generalist experience in an FMCG or Manufacturing company.
- Proven experience using Virdi Biometric Attendance Software and managing workforce attendance.
- Strong understanding of payroll inputs, attendance reconciliation, and shift management.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage a large workforce of staff and factory workers.
Preferred Candidate:
- Must reside within Ibafo or its immediate environs.
- Experience managing attendance for a large manufacturing workforce.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- CIPM Professional certification will be considered first.
