Job Title: Internal Auditor (School)

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of financial statements, accounting records, and operational processes
• Review internal controls, compliance with policies, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management
• Recommend improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors
• Monitor payroll, expenditures, and asset management
• Identify potential areas of risk, fraud, or financial mismanagement
• Follow up on management’s implementation of audit recommendations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification preferred (ICAN, ACCA, CPA)
• 4–6 years internal audit experience, preferably in a school or educational environment
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and accounting software.
