Job Title: Steel Detailing Engineer / Tekla Specialist (PEB & Structural Steel)

Job Summary

• Our client is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Steel DetailingEngineer/ Tekla Specialist to join our Engineering Department.
• The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming engineering designsintoaccurate, fabrication-ready and erection-ready models and drawings for Pre-EngineeredBuildings (PEB), Structural Steel, and Miscellaneous Steel projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D models using Tekla Structures.
• Prepare shop drawings, assembly drawings, single-part drawings, and erection drawings.
• Detail primary steel, secondary steel, bracing systems, mezzanines, staircases, handrails,platforms, and miscellaneous steel items.
• Prepare and detail bolted and welded steel connections.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOM), Material Take-Offs (MTO), and NC/CNCfiles.
• Ensure all related components, connection plates, cleats, stiffeners, bracing accessories, flange stays, and supporting members are fully coordinated before drawing release.
• Coordinate with Design Engineers, Production, Procurement, Project Management, andSite Teams.
• Review projects for constructability, fabrication efficiency, transportation, and erectionrequirements.  Resolve technical queries from fabrication and site teams.
• Maintain drawing revisions and document control procedures.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and applicableinternational codes.
• Deliver detailing packages in accordance with project schedules and deadlines.

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in steel detailing.
• Proven experience in Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and Structural Steel projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures is mandatory.
• Good command of AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes and erection methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with industrial buildings, factories, warehouses, commercial buildings, andheavy steel structures.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows and advanced Tekla functionalities.
• Experience generating and validating NC/CNC files for fabrication.
• Familiarity with AISC, MBMA, AWS, Eurocode, or equivalent steel design standards.
