Blue Phoenix Deepwater Limited is a 100% Nigerian-owned company with offices in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrician

Location: Onsshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Individually responsible for the safe operation, installation, maintenance, testing and fault finding of all electrical equipment and systems on board
• Assist the Electrical Supervisor, Chief Electrician or Senior Electrician in identifying jobs which may require a Risk Assessment.
• Undertake duties as allocated or directed by the Electrical Supervisor, Chief Electrician or Senior Electrician
• Undertake operational maintenance, planned maintenance, installation and repairs on the electrical equipment throughout the rig
• Deputize for the Chief Electrician or Senior Electrician as required
• Must be familiar with the electrical equipment and systems in order to restore essential services in emergency situations

Required Skills and Experience

• Time served level 3 electrician with S/NVQ3 or equivalent
• CompEx EX01-EX04 or equivalent
• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience
• Previous experience gained as an electrician or electrical technician on a drilling vessel
• Experience High Voltage Systems, MV & LV AC Drives and Control and Automation Systems
• Demonstrates good communication skills
