Blue Phoenix Deepwater Limited is a 100% Nigerian-owned company with offices in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mechanic

Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be fully committed to working safely and to working safely and be responsible for the safe working practices of the crew.
• Assist Supervisor in identifying jobs which may require a Risk Assessment
• Participate along with Supervisor in Risk Assessments.
• Shall undertake duties as allocated or directed by Chief Engineer/Senior Mechanic..
• Deputise for the Senior Mechanic as required.
• Undertake operational maintenance, planned maintenance and repairs on the mechanical equipment throughout the rig

Required skills and Experience

• COC Officer of Watch (Engine).
• Previous experience as Mechanic on deep water drillship.
• Minimum 5 years related experience.
• Must have experience completing repairs.
• Fire Team Leader.
