The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Senior Mechanic
Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be fully committed to working safely and be responsible for the safe working practices of the crew.
- Assist the Master/OIM in identifying jobs which may require a Risk Assessment.
- Undertake duties as allocated or directed by the Chief Engineer.
- Undertake operational maintenance, planned maintenance and repairs on the mechanical equipment throughout the rig.
- Deputize as necessary for the Chief Engineer.
- Keep himself informed regarding power consumption and distribution according to requirements and complying with the Permit to Work/Isolation systems.
- Notify the Chief Engineer of requirements for spare parts, materials or services
Required skills and Experience
- Minimum 2nd Class Motor Certificate of Competency, unlimited STCW '95.
- Previous experience as Senior Mechanic on deep water drillship.
- Minimum 5 years related experience.
- Must have experience supervising repairs.
- HV MCA 4.
- Management of Major Emergencies.
