Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Role Overview

  • As the Senior Project Manager, you will be the bridge between creative vision and physical reality.
  • You are responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of high-end residential and commercial interior projects across Lagos.
  • Your primary goal is to ensure that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the uncompromising quality standards of the company.
  • You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage complex supply chains, and act as the principal point of contact for our most prestigious clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple interior design and fit-out projects
  • Develop project timelines, work plans, and resource allocation strategies
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address delays, risks, and bottlenecks
  • Coordinate site activities, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution
  • Oversee quality control to ensure all work meets design specifications and standards
  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and financial performance in collaboration with QS and finance teams
  • Handle change management, including variations and scope adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and trackers
  • Provide regular project status reports, including progress, risks, mitigation strategies and financial updates
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, variations, and site activities
  • Maintain an organised repository of blueprints, permits, material schedules, and RFI logs.
  • Track project KPIs such as timelines, budget variance, and quality metrics
  • Document lessons learned and project close-out reports

Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage client expectations, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure accountability and performance
  • Lead project meetings and provide clear updates to all stakeholders
  • Escalate and resolve issues proactively to avoid project disruptions
  • Provide senior management with visibility into project performance and risks
  • Balance client satisfaction with company profitability and operational constraints
  • Navigate Lagos State building codes and maintain necessary relationships with relevant planning and environmental authorities.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with design, procurement, and QS teams to align project execution with plans and budgets
  • Ensure seamless handover from design to the execution phase
  • Lead weekly internal meetings to align the procurement, design, and site teams.
  • Communicate clearly with site teams to ensure proper understanding of scope and timelines
  • Foster strong teamwork across internal departments and external partners
  • Act as the primary mediator for any disputes arising on-site or between vendors.
  • Translate technical and project updates into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in project management, with at least 4 years specifically within the interior design or high-end fit-out industry. A Master’s degree or PMP/PRINCE2 certification is an added advantage.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects successfully within time and budget
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, project-based environment
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and site management
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software.
