Job Summary
- Our client, a reputable Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, ambitious, and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive business growth, expand market share, and acquire new corporate clients.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering sustainable revenue growth through effective sales and relationship management.
- This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional with proven experience in business development outside the HMO industry, who thrives in a target-driven environment and is passionate about achieving exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve the organization's revenue and growth objectives.
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new corporate, SME, and group accounts.
- Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, insurance brokers, business partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive business proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate business deals and successfully close new sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with the underwriting, operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and excellent client experience.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities to develop winning sales strategies.
- Consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Represent the organization at business meetings, conferences, exhibitions, networking events, and industry forums.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide periodic reports on sales performance, business opportunities, market intelligence, and client engagement activities.
- Ensure excellent customer relationship management to improve client retention and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, or any related discipline.
- Candidates should preferably be between 28 and 32 years of age.
- Minimum of 4 years' proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Corporate Marketing.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and persuasive selling skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
- Excellent networking, relationship management, and client engagement skills.
- Self-motivated, energetic, resilient, and highly performance-driven.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools is an added advantage.
