They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Field Operator (SFOP)

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

  • Execute safe and efficient operation and maintenance of Production Plant
  • Execute and coordinate actions to maintain utilities and energy sources necessary to support daily production.

Key Responsibilites

  • Supervise JPOPs to competently perform all production operations independently
  • Supervise and carry out repair work, shutdowns, isolations and planned maintenance, provide correct records of same
  • Supervise maintenance crew from other departments as may be necessary for them to attend production plant in order to carry out extensive maintenance
  • Be literate in production plant operations, including its safety features
  • Be familiar with PTW System
  • Ensure that all information entered in logs, reports and PMS is accurate
  • Liaise with PSUP for stores and spares
  • Gather and compile data for daily production reports and maintain a comprehensive log of all production activities
  • Execute sample taking
  • Execute various laboratory analysis as required to monitor production parameters, including oil and effluent water quality
  • Monitor and maintain chemical injection equipment and adjust dosage rates as necessary
  • Execute performance and compliance testing of wells, diagnosis and optimization of production systems
  • Monitor and control process plant with minimum down time
  • Monitor stock of production chemicals
  • Ensure availability of propane for the flare pilot and nitrogen for purging
  • Radio communication with CCR and inform of any changes in process parameters that make oil-to-storage becoming off-spec or significantly affect effluent water quality
  • Monitor pipe work condition via corrosion probe readings, ultrasonic thickness checks and iron counts
  • To supervise and support contractor activities onboard and ensure work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with Company HSEQ System
  • Ensure the production crew is familiar with Emergency Shutdown System and have knowledge of necessary actions to take in the event of various emergency situations, including, but not limited to PSD, ESD, fire and gas alarms
  • Provide necessary familiarization and on-job training for all personnel in his department

Requirements

  • Good knowledge in chemical and/or process plant
  • General mechanical competence
  • Good English written and spoken.
