Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced, results-driven, and commercially savvy Cashew Sales Manager to lead the growth of our cashew product portfolio across Southern Nigeria.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in cashew sales, a strong understanding of market dynamics and distribution channels.
  • A proven ability to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent relationship-management skills who can develop and maintain strong partnerships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key accounts.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market share, strengthening channel relationships, and identifying new business opportunities while ensuring profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
  • Drive market penetration and expand the company's cashew product presence across Southern Nigeria.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, customers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key accounts.
  • Develop and implement territory plans to maximize sales performance and market coverage.
  • Monitor sales performance and take proactive measures to achieve business objectives.

Customer & Channel Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and strategic customers.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews to strengthen partnerships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and ensure effective execution of sales and distribution plans.
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure high levels of service and satisfaction.

Market Intelligence & Reporting:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and consumer behavior.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and recommend appropriate strategies.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence updates.
  • Provide regular updates on market developments and key customer activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure product availability and visibility.
  • Support product launches, promotional campaigns, and trade marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure effective execution of sales and merchandising activities across assigned territories.

Territory Management:

  • Manage sales operations throughout Southern Nigeria.
  • Travel extensively within assigned territories to support customers and business growth initiatives.
  • Support sales activities in other regions as required by the business.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • The success of the Cashew Sales Manager will be measured by:
  • Achievement of sales revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
  • Market share growth across assigned territories.
  • Expansion of distributor, wholesaler, retailer, and key account networks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of proven experience in cashew sales.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong experience in developing and managing distributor and channel networks.
  • Experience within the food, agricultural commodities, or consumer-packaged goods industry is an added advantage.
  • Strong market knowledge and customer network within the cashew industry.
