Master / Offshore Installation Manager (O.I.M) at Blue Phoenix Deepwater Limited

Blue Phoenix Deepwater Limited is a 100% Nigerian-owned company with offices in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Master / Offshore Installation Manager (O.I.M)

Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• The Master/OIM has overall Command & Control of the vessel/installation in an Emergency
• Has overriding authority and the responsibility to make decisions, with respect to safety and pollution prevention and to request the Company's assistance, as necessary
• Ensuring that the vessel/installation is operated within the confines of the ISM Code at all times
• Has overall responsibility for the Health, Safety and Welfare of all personnel onboard
• Has overall responsibility for the maintenance of good order onboard as well as discipline

Required Skills and Experience

• Valid UK Class 1 (Master Mariner) Certificate of Competency or equivalent
• DP certificate if serving on DP units
• Previous, extensive experience as a Master/OIM on deep-water drilling vessel
• 20 years relative experience
• Ability to make rational decisions in high pressure situations
• Ship's Security Officer (ISPS Code)
• Management of Major Emergencies
• IWCF Well Control – Level 2
• Nationality: Nigerian
