The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Senior Dynamic Positioning Officer (DPO)
Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- SDPO & Senior Watch keeper when vessel in DP and/or in conventional mode
- Responsible for the safe operation of the shift and in charge of the DP Operation
- Responsible for safe navigation and conduct of the vessel as a Watch keeper when not in DP
- Provide mentoring and guidance to DPOs
- Ensure that the DP watch is conducted in accordance with MTS & IMCA recommendations and in accordance with the Company DP Philosophy and/or client requirements
- Ensure the DP system is operating correctly and report any defects in accordance with the company's expectations
Required Skills and Experience
- Marine Class 2 or Class 1 is highly desirable and candidates in possession of superior certificates will be given preference
- Unlimited DP Certificate
- Must have recent and extensive Kongsberg K-POs DP32 experience
- Adequate knowledge and experience of drilling vessel/rig operations whilst in DP mode
- Previously served on a DP drilling vessel or have undergone supervised training up to the required standard
- 10 years working experience on a drilling vessel and 5 years in the role
- Kongsberg HiPAP LBL Operator & Kongsberg HAIN.
