Job Title: Accountant

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Our client is seeking a diligent, detail-oriented, and experienced Accountant to manage the organisation’s financial records, transactions, reporting, and compliance activities.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial information, maintain effective financial controls, and provide timely reports to support management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and supporting documentation.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant financial regulations.
  • Monitor inventory records and assist with stock reconciliation where required.
  • Advise management on cost control, financial risks, and areas for operational improvement.
  • Perform other finance-related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Candidates residing within Ikeja or its surrounding areas will have an advantage.
