The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Senior Crane Operator
Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaise with Barge Master or designate and the Clients Representatives to ensure that all forthcoming lifting operations are adequately planned
- Allocate tasks to Crane Operators and deck crews, providing adequate supervision to ensure that all such tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner
- Act as focal point for all lifting and general deck operations during their hours of work
- Ensure all lifts are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with the company's expectations
- Ensure a Lifting Assessment / Plan in place for all lifting operations, involving all those participating in the lifting operation
Required Skills and Experience
- Stage 3 Crane Operator
- Recent and extensive experience in NOV Knuckleboom Cranes
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a CO on a drillship
- Deck Rating 1 or 2 is an added advantage
- Fire Team Leader
- Helideck Team Training
- Helicopter Landing Officer
- Nationality: Nigerian
