Blue Phoenix Deepwater Limited is a 100% Nigerian-owned company with offices in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Crane Operator

Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure all lifts are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with the company's expectations
• Ensure a Lifting Assessment/Plan in place for all lifting operations, involving all those participating in the lifting operation
• Perform pre-use checks of the Lifting Appliance prior to commencing any operations
• Any defects must be recorded and passed to the Barge Master or designate in a timely manner
• Shall report any damage or incidents that occur to the crane or structure during lifting operations immediately to the Barge Master or designate
• Select appropriate lifting gear for the lift in question ensuring the valid lifting colour code in use

Required Skills and Experience

• Stage 3 Crane Operator
• Recent and extensive experience in NOV Knuckleboom Cranes
• Minimum 5 years experience as a CO on a drillship
• Deck Rating 1 or 2 is an added advantage
• Fire Team Leader
• Helideck Team Training
• Helicopter Landing Officer
• Nationality: Nigerian
