Job Summary
- We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Desktop / IT Support Engineer to join our team.
- The successful candidate will provide first- and second-level technical support to end users, ensuring the availability, security, and optimal performance of IT infrastructure while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of CCTV systems, including camera connectivity, DVR/NVR configuration, and video playback issues.
- Assist with the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of access control and biometric attendance systems.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of EPABX/intercom systems, including extension connectivity and handset-related issues.
- Support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, LAN/WAN connectivity, and Wi-Fi access points.
- Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and Active Directory user accounts.
- Install and configure software applications and operating system updates.
- Respond to user requests through the IT ticketing system and resolve issues within established SLA timelines.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation.
- Coordinate with external vendors for repairs and maintenance when required.
- Provide both remote and on-site technical support to users.
Requirements
- HND / B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 - 4 years' experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking.
- Knowledge of CCTV, access control systems, biometric attendance devices, and EPABX systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to relocate.
Preferred Knowledge:
Candidates with basic knowledge of the following will have an added advantage:
- Fibre Optic Systems.
- Earthing Pit Installation and Maintenance.
- Radio Communication Systems.
- Mast Tower Infrastructure.
