We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Reconciliation Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and weekly reconciliations of financial transactions between: Internal systems, Partner banks, Payment service providers and others.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with the tech team to flag system-related issues or data mismatches.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for all reconciliations performed.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate reconciliation reports.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports and insights to Finance Lead as needed.
  • Recommend and support improvements in reconciliation processes and tools.

Requirements
Must-Have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in reconciliation.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid work environment.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or other data tools.
  • Experience working with fintech, microfinance, or loan/investment platforms.
  • Prior exposure to automated reconciliation systems or APIs.
