Job Title: Logistics Intern

Job Summary

• VCGL is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Intern to support the day-to-day activities of the Logistics and Operations Department.
• This internship is designed for fresh graduates who have successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program and are looking to gain practical experience in logistics, supply chain management, and operational coordination.
• The successful candidate will assist in coordinating deliveries, monitoring inventory, maintaining logistics records, and ensuring the smooth movement of goods while learning industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating the movement and delivery of goods to customers and company locations.
• Monitor delivery schedules and follow up with drivers and vendors to ensure timely execution.
• Maintain accurate logistics, inventory, and dispatch records.
• Support stock receiving, documentation, and inventory reconciliation.
• Prepare delivery notes, waybills, and other logistics documentation.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in resolving logistics-related issues and escalating concerns when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
• Support the Logistics Manager with administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives within the logistics function.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transport Management, Engineering, or any related discipline.
• Must have successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
