We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Store Officer

Position Summary

• The Engineering Store officer is responsible for the efficient management of engineering spares and materials, ensuring proper storage, accurate inventory records, and timely issuance to support maintenance and production activities.
• The role also focuses on store optimization, stock accuracy, and maintaining a safe and organized store environment.

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming engineering materials and spares.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and classification of items for easy identification and retrieval.
• Issue materials to authorized personnel based on approved requisitions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in both physical stock and ERP systems.
• Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requisitions to maintain optimum inventory levels.
• Conduct routine stock counts and periodic inventory audits; reconcile discrepancies.
• Identify and manage obsolete, damaged, or slow-moving stock.
• Ensure correct material descriptions, coding, and standardization in the ERP system.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the store in compliance with HSE standards.
• Support maintenance and production teams by ensuring timely availability of required materials.
• Track stock movement and prepare inventory reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to follow up on deliveries and resolve discrepancies.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance store efficiency and space utilization.

Requirements
Education:

• OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sciences, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in storekeeping, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Skills & Competencies:

• Good knowledge of inventory management and store operations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite) is an added advantage.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word).
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
