Description

  • A reputable organization is seeking to recruit a smart, confident, creative, media-savvy, and highly professional Public Relations & Content Creation Officer to drive its corporate communications, public relations, digital media presence, and brand reputation.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling written, visual, and digital content that professionally showcases the organization's projects, activities, corporate milestones, community engagements, and stakeholder initiatives across multiple communication platforms.
  • This role requires an exceptional storyteller who can write, present, interview, create engaging content, manage social media platforms, coordinate media activities, and represent the organization professionally before clients, partners, government agencies, communities, and the general public.
  • The ideal candidate should be comfortable speaking on camera, conducting interviews, preparing press-style communications, developing communication strategies, and working closely with the cinematography and media production team to produce high-quality corporate content.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing the organization's public relations and communication strategy.
  • Creating engaging content for social media platforms, websites, newsletters, brochures, annual reports, and corporate publications.
  • Writing press releases, news articles, speeches, corporate statements, success stories, and project updates.
  • Managing the organization's social media accounts and ensuring consistent brand messaging.
  • Developing content calendars and communication campaigns.
  • Conducting interviews with staff, clients, beneficiaries, and stakeholders.
  • Presenting projects and corporate activities professionally on camera.
  • Coordinating media coverage for corporate events, project launches, exhibitions, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Working closely with the Cinematographer & Video Production Team to produce compelling multimedia content.
  • Monitoring media coverage and managing the organization's public image.
  • Responding professionally to public enquiries and supporting crisis communication when required.
  • Supporting employer branding, recruitment campaigns, and internal communications.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with journalists, media organizations, influencers, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitoring social media performance and preparing periodic communication reports.

Requirements
Applicants should possess:

  • HND, Bachelor's Degree, or higher qualification in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, English, Marketing, Communications, International Relations, Digital Media, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years practical experience in public relations, corporate communications, journalism, media, content creation, digital marketing, or brand management.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, and other social media platforms.
  • Experience creating professional content for corporate organizations.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to confidently appear on camera and conduct interviews.
  • Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar content creation tools is an added advantage.
  • Experience working with photographers, videographers, and media production teams.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be willing to travel regularly to farms, project sites, rural communities, client locations, and corporate events across Nigeria.
