Job Title: Head of Finance

Description
- As the organization continues to drive strategic growth, strengthen operational capabilities, and expand its market footprint, it seeks to appoint an accomplished and commercially astute Head of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for driving financial performance, strengthening governance and internal controls, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering financial strategies that support the Company's long-term growth objectives and overall business sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Business Partnership:
- Develop and implement the Company's financial strategy in alignment with its corporate objectives and growth plans.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO, Executive Management, and the Board to support informed decision-making.
- Drive financial sustainability through effective capital planning, resource allocation, and profitability improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, investment proposals, strategic partnerships, and expansion initiatives from a financial perspective.
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets, medium-term financial plans, and rolling forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against approved budgets and provide timely variance analysis with actionable recommendations.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
- Establish and monitor financial performance indicators across all business units.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
- Oversee treasury operations to ensure optimal liquidity and efficient working capital management.
- Develop cash flow forecasts and implement strategies to optimize cash utilization.
- Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and debt obligations.
- Monitor funding requirements and recommend appropriate financing solutions.
Financial Reporting & Performance Management:
- Oversee the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and financial performance reports.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting for Executive Management and the Board.
- Provide insightful financial analysis, dashboards, and key performance metrics to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Support the preparation of board papers and presentations relating to financial performance.
Investment & Corporate Finance:
- Conduct financial due diligence and investment analysis for prospective transactions.
- Review financial models, valuation reports, and investment memoranda.
- Support capital-raising initiatives and financing transactions.
- Assess the financial viability and commercial implications of investment opportunities.
Governance, Risk & Internal Controls:
- Establish and maintain robust financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Identify financial risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure effective audit outcomes and timely implementation of recommendations.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to the finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Develop succession plans and identify opportunities for capability building within the finance function.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree (MBA, MSc Finance, or related field) will be an added advantage.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent is mandatory.
- Minimum of 9–12 years' progressive professional experience, with at least 4 years in a senior finance leadership role.
