Job Title: Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance

Location: Jos Factory, Plateau

Summary

• We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and technically sound Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance to oversee and drive the quality management systems at our Jos Factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Raw Material Inspection & Testing: Oversee the rigorous testing of all incoming chemical raw materials (including Polyol, TDI, catalysts, blowing agents, and additives) to verify purity, viscosity, and moisture content before discharge into storage tanks.
• In-Process Quality Control (IPQC): Monitor and control critical parameters during continuous and batch foaming operations, ensuring correct chemical formulation ratios.
• Finished Goods Evaluation: Lead the physical testing of cured foam blocks and finished products, verifying density consistency.
• Laboratory & Equipment Calibration: Manage the Jos factory laboratory operations, ensuring all testing apparatuses, scales, and compression machines are calibrated
• Defect Investigation & Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead investigations into any manufacturing non-conformities (e.g., splits, bottom-scorch, early foam collapse, density drift) and implement definitive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Waste Reduction Support: Collaborate with the production team to monitor and drive down the cutting waste rate and chemical reaction variance, optimizing material yield without compromising quality standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a closely related scientific discipline.
• Professional Certification: Membership in the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN), or certifications in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ CQE, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) will be a distinct advantage.
• 5–8 years of active quality assurance/control experience in a manufacturing environment.

Salary
N100,000 monthly.
