About the Role

  • A fast-growing mental health and wellness organization is looking for a meticulous Finance Associate to manage daily financial operations, keep accurate accounting records, and ensure strict compliance with local financial regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage a structured bookkeeping system for day-to-day transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and client invoicing.
  • Lead the monthly financial reporting lifecycle, including the preparation of financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and budget variance reports.
  • Manage payroll processing, contract service fees, and expense tracking across all corporate programs and training initiatives.
  • Oversee the deployment of accounting tools and record-keeping systems to ensure financial data is updated within strict monthly timeframes.
  • Track and follow up on tax compliance plans, including the computation, filing, and timely remittance of WHT, VAT, and PAYE.
  • Partner with project and business development teams to build project budgets, pricing models, and cost allocation templates. Build regular financial dashboards, cash-burn analyses, and budget reports for senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; progress toward a professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) is an advantage.
  • Proven experience as a finance officer, accountant, or bookkeeping associate.
  • Experience building structured record-keeping systems and financial operational frameworks from scratch.
  • Advanced proficiency with accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books) and data tracking tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for engaging auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal leadership.
  • Solid understanding of regional tax compliance protocols, local financial regulations, and corporate accounting standards.

Salary
N250,000 / month.
