We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lead - Proposal and Estimating

Location: Ogba, Ikeja - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Attend post tender and pre-award meetings with clients to answer any queries or to get a better understanding of requirements.
  • Lead the proposal process, including the preparation of bids and proposals.
  • Develop and manage cost estimates for projects.
  • Review requests for proposal (RFPs) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor and report on project costs, including forecasting and budgeting
  • Prepare cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects.
  • Develop and maintain a database of historical cost data.
  • Using bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysis
  • Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders
  • Compiling and recording actual costs
  • Ensure that proposals are compliant with the client's specifications and guidelines.
  • Review and edit proposal content for clarity, consistency, and alignment with RFP requirements.
  • Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and cost data.
  • Analyze project specifications, plans, and requirements to determine resource needs.
  • Review technical content for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and submit proposals within established deadlines.
  • Participate in Tenders preparation and submission (Pre-qualification, Technical and Commercial)
  • Project Planning: Develop detailed project schedules, outlining tasks, timelines, and milestones.
  • Resource Planning: Identify and allocate resources required for project tasks, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and address unforeseen challenges.
  • Assess potential risks to project timelines and budgets.
  • Monitor and track project progress against established schedules.
  • Collect and analyse data from various sources to identify deviations and take corrective actions.
  • Provide support to Project Management team in reporting progress status, progress plan Vs Actual, forecast, critical path, float, slacks and Close Out report
  • Participate in post-project reviews to assess project performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the refinement of planning processes and the enhancement of project execution.

Other Requirements

  • Must have experience in bidding and tendering, understand Nipex, DPR and /or Bureau of Procurement/MDAs bidding/tendering processes. Have a clear understanding of bidding with oil and gas servicing companies and / or Power Transmission / Distribution companies as a Proposal Engineer or Manager.
  • Membership of COREN, NSE or Relevant Professional Body will be of added advantage.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Power Point, Visio, PDF; knowledge of use of AutoCAD will be of added advantage.
