Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Process Design & Engineering:
- Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Heat and Material Balances (HMBs), and Process Design Basis documents.
- Perform process simulations, hydraulic calculations, and equipment sizing using industry-standard software.
- Prepare process datasheets and technical specifications for process equipment.
- Develop process philosophies, operating procedures, and design calculations.
- Ensure process designs meet safety, operability, reliability, and environmental requirements.
Process Optimization:
- Analyze plant performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, product quality, energy consumption, and throughput.
- Monitor key process parameters and recommend corrective actions to optimize production.
- Support troubleshooting of process upsets and operational challenges.
- Conduct debottlenecking studies and recommend process improvements.
Equipment & System Engineering:
Provide process engineering support for:
- Reactors
- Distillation Columns
- Heat Exchangers
- Pumps and Compressor
Procurement & Vendor Support:
- Prepare process equipment specifications and material requisitions.
- Review vendor technical proposals and process calculations.
- Participate in technical bid evaluations (TBEs).
- Resolve technical queries from suppliers and contractors.
- Review vendor documentation for compliance with project requirements.
- Participate in plant performance testing and acceptance activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
- 10–12 years of experience in process engineering .
