Job Purpose
- The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, specification, procurement support, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems for an Ethane-to-Polymers (E2P) plant.
- The role ensures all electrical systems are safe, reliable, energy-efficient, and compliant with project specifications, international standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering & Design:
- Develop and review electrical design documents, calculations, and technical specifications.
- Prepare and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), load lists, cable schedules, cable routing layouts, lighting layouts, earthing and lightning protection drawings.
- Perform electrical load flow, short-circuit, motor starting, voltage drop, and protection coordination studies.
- Design and review power distribution systems for process plants.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable engineering standards.
Power Generation & Distribution:
Provide engineering support for:
- High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
- Electrical substations and switchgear.
- Transformers.
- Motor Control Centers (MCCs).
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems
Equipment & Vendor Management:
- Prepare electrical equipment specifications and material requisitions.
- Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs) and review vendor proposals.
- Review vendor drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
Construction, Installation & Commissioning:
- Provide technical support during installation and construction activities.
- Review construction method statements and installation procedures.
- Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, energization, and plant start-up activities.
Maintenance & Reliability:
- Support preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical failures.
- Recommend improvements to enhance electrical system reliability and efficiency.
- Monitor equipment performance and lifecycle requirements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10–15years of experience in electrical engineering.
