Job Title: Factory Worker - Laundry & Dry Cleaning

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Factory Worker is responsible for supporting the daily laundry and dry-cleaning production process by sorting, washing, drying, pressing, packaging, and handling customer garments while maintaining the company's quality and productivity standards.
  • The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
Garment Processing:

  • Sort garments according to fabric type, colour, washing instructions, and treatment requirements.
  • Load and unload industrial washing and dry-cleaning machines.
  • Operate drying machines according to standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare garments for ironing, pressing, folding, and packaging.
  • Identify garments requiring special treatment or stain removal.

Production Operations:

  • Meet assigned daily production targets.
  • Ensure garments are processed accurately and without damage.
  • Maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
  • Assist with loading and moving heavy laundry bags, garment carts, and production materials.
  • Support other production units when required.

Equipment Handling:

  • Operate industrial laundry equipment safely.
  • Report equipment faults immediately.
  • Perform routine cleaning of assigned machines.
  • Follow equipment operating procedures at all times.

Housekeeping:

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Observe all workplace hygiene standards.
  • Dispose of waste appropriately.
  • Participate in daily cleaning of the factory.

Health & Safety:

  • Comply with all safety procedures.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Handle chemicals according to company guidelines.

Teamwork:

  • Work effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Follow instructions promptly.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain discipline and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO.
  • Additional vocational or technical training is an advantage.

Salary
N70,000 - N80,000 monthly.
