We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Early Year Teacher

Location:  Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality EYFS lessons in line with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Create engaging, child-centred, and play-based learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and independence.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of pupils.
  • Promote early literacy, numeracy, communication, and personal development through interactive learning activities.
  • Integrate educational technology and appropriate learning resources into classroom instruction.

Classroom Management:

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, stimulating, and well-organised classroom environment.
  • Establish clear classroom routines and positive behaviour expectations.
  • Encourage children's confidence, resilience, and positive social interactions.
  • Ensure all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are strictly followed.

Assessment and Record Keeping:

  • Observe, assess, and monitor children's learning and development using appropriate EYFS assessment methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupils' progress and developmental milestones.
  • Prepare termly reports and provide constructive feedback to parents and school management.
  • Use assessment data to inform teaching and support individual learning needs.

Child Welfare and Safeguarding:

  • Promote the wellbeing, safety, and emotional development of every child.
  • Identify and report safeguarding concerns in accordance with the school's safeguarding policy.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, respected, and supported.

Parent Partnership:

  • Build positive and professional relationships with parents and guardians.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding pupils' academic progress, behaviour, and wellbeing.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and other family engagement activities.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programmes.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to school programmes, extracurricular activities, and special events.
  • Uphold the values, vision, policies, and professional standards of Learn@Ease Academy.

Salary
N160,000 - N200,000 monthly.
