We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Software Trainer

Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Part-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Technical Trainer to deliver practical, industry-focused training in Software Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Technologies, and Data Analytics.
• The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to mentor students through hands-on projects that prepare them for real-world careers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instructor-led training sessions on assigned technical courses.
• Develop and update course materials, practical exercises, and project-based assignments.
• Guide students through hands-on labs, coding exercises, and real-world case studies.
• Assess student performance through quizzes, practical assessments, and projects.
• Provide mentorship and technical support to students throughout the training.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate industry best practices into training.
• Collaborate with the academic team to improve course delivery and student outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress.

Required Technical Skills:
The successful candidate should have practical experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Building Microservices with Spring Boot
• Mastering Software Testing with JUnit 5
• Microservices with Kubernetes
• Containerization using Docker
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with Docker and Jenkins

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in relevant technologies will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in software development, DevOps, data analytics, or technical training.
• Strong understanding of modern software development practices and cloud-native technologies.

• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for learners.
• Experience mentoring students or junior developers.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Experience:
Candidates with experience in any of the following will have an added advantage:

• Java and Spring Boot application development
• Kubernetes cluster deployment and management
• CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Docker container orchestration
• Git and GitHub version control.
