The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was established by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to among other things organize elections into various political offices in the country.

We invite applications from qualified candidates to fill the position on Grade Levels 09, 10 and 12 below:

Aim

  • The recruitment exercise is aimed at strengthening the Commission's institutional capacity in electoral administration, voter registration, data management, election logistics, and other critical electoral operations in furtherance of its constitutional mandate.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent, Master's Degree in the relevant field of specialization from a Government recognized institution
  • Relevant professional certification ((e.g NBA)
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification cognate experience in the relevant profession
  • NYSC Discharge Certificate or Certificate of Exemption
  • Demonstrable practical knowledge and competence in the relevant field
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in the use of computer applications and digital tools.

General Requirements
In addition to the qualifications above, applicants must:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen by birth or descent;
  • Present a valid Certificate of State of Origin duly signed by the Chairman or Secretary of their Local Government. Certificates endorsed by Liaison Officers will not be accepted;
  • Be computer literate;
  • Be certified by a Government Medical Officer as physically and mentally fit for appointment into the Commission;
  • Not above 35 years of age at the point of application;
  • Possess good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence;
  • Be willing to serve in any part of the Federation where assigned;
  • Possess integrity, discipline, and commitment to Public Service.
