  • In this role, you will Walks an assigned market route every day collecting small daily savings (thrift/akawo) from traders, recording every kobo transparently and remitting collections to the bank the same day.

Job Responsibilities

  • Resume early; collect the collection device/receipt booklet and confirm the day's route with the Team Lead.
  • Visit every registered contributor on the route daily; collect contributions and record instantly on the app and on the customer's card in the customer's presence.
  • Recruit new thrift customers along the route and register them with proper KYC (photo, phone, BVN where applicable).
  • Never spend, borrow from or mix collections with personal money; keep collections secure at all times.
  • Return to the bank before cut-off time; count cash with the teller and remit 100% of collections against a receipt.
  • Reconcile app records vs.
  • Cash remitted with the Team Lead daily; resolve any variance before leaving.
  • Notify customers approaching their withdrawal/target dates and refer those needing loans to Sales Officers.
  • Report route incidents (customer complaints, security concerns, defaulting contributors) daily.
  • Meet weekly recruitment and daily collection volume targets.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualification: Minimum of SSCE/WAEC; OND an advantage.
  • Must be numerate and able to keep accurate records.
  • Professional Certification: None; in-house training on cash handling, ethics and the collection app will be provided.
  • Experience Required: 0-2 years; experience in ajo/esusu/akawo collection, POS agency or market trading is a strong advantage.
  • Must know the Onitsha market environment well and provide credible guarantors.
  • Technical / Job Skills: Accurate cash counting and record keeping; use of the thrift collection mobile app/POS device; issuing and reconciling customer cards; basic phone literacy; counterfeit note awareness.
  • Soft Skills & Attributes: Absolute honesty and trustworthiness (handles cash daily); discipline and punctuality; friendliness and customer rapport; physical stamina for daily market rounds; fluency in Igbo; humility and patience with small savers.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 / Month.
