Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer
Location: Obajana Plant, Kogi
Job Summary
- The Senior Civil Enginer at Dangote Cement Plc is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient co-operation and support across departments, executing inspections, troubleshooting breakdowns, and maintaining high safety and performance standards.
Key Duties and Responbilities
- Plan and execute civil engineering jobs across departments.
- Design, carry out structural analyses and detailed plans by using AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
- Planning, design and construction of internal roads and drainage systems.
- carry out vendor development and sourcing.
- Enforce zoning laws, environmental regulations and local building codes.
- Maintain daily maintenance logs and reports.
- Record equipment history and failure data.
- Update maintenance checklists and work orders.
- Suggest improvements for equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
- Implement best maintenance practices and new technologies.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Provide on-the-job training and skill development to team members.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of nine (9) years work experience as a Civil Engineer.
- Advanced proficiency in Civil Engineering design software, cost estimation and structural analysis .
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Leadership and team management ability.
- Excellent knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
