Job Title: Pastoralist Paravet
Location: Nationwide

Profile Summary
- A passionate field-based Paravet responsible for supporting veterinary and extension activities across assigned communities.
- The Paravet serves as the first contact for farmers on animal health and husbandry issues, ensuring timely treatment, vaccination, and data collection under the supervision of a Veterinary Doctor.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level animal health services such as vaccination, deworming, and basic treatments.
- Assist Vet Doctors in disease surveillance, diagnosis, and sample collection.
- Train and sensitize farmers on animal health, hygiene, and good husbandry practices.
- Monitor flock/herd health and promptly report any unusual signs or mortality.
- Record all field activities, treatments, and farmer interactions.
- Promote the use of Amo Farm’s veterinary products and services among farmers.
- Support the implementation of biosecurity and feeding programs.
Qualifications & Experience
- HND / B.Sc. in Animal Health, Animal Science, or related field.
- Certification as a Paravet or Animal Health Technician (where applicable).
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in livestock or poultry field operations.
- Basic understanding of disease symptoms and control methods.
- Ability to communicate effectively with rural farmers.
- Must be willing to travel extensively and work in rural areas.
