Metro Mart is a 24 hour neighbor supermarket,restaurant and bakery in the heart of Idimu providing service to customers within. An indigenous company which open in 2026.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Retail Supervisor

Location: Ikotun-Idimu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilties

• Supervise the daily operations of the supermarket, bakery, and restaurant.
• Coordinate and monitor staff performance during assigned shifts.
• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints promptly.
• Monitor stock levels, merchandising, and product availability.
• Supervise cash handling and ensure accurate daily reconciliation.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company policies.
• Minimize stock losses, wastage, and operational shrinkage.
• Prepare daily operational reports and escalate issues to management.
• Train, coach, and motivate team members to achieve performance targets.
• Ensure smooth store operations and achievement of sales targets.

Requirements

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and inventory management.
• Experience supervising cashiers, sales associates, and support staff.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to monitor sales, reduce stock losses, and maintain operational standards.
• Good knowledge of POS operations and cash handling.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced 24-hour retail environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is an added advantage.

Salary
N100,000 monthly.
