Job Summary

• The Product Formulation Manager is responsible for leading the research, development, formulation, testing, and continuous improvement of innovative beauty, skincare, cosmetic, and wellness products.
• The role combines scientific expertise, creativity, market understanding, and regulatory knowledge to develop safe, effective, high-quality products that align with customer needs and industry standards.
• Working within the Spa, Beauty, Wellness, Cosmetics, and Personal Care industry, the Product Formulation Manager oversees the entire product development lifecycle, from concept creation and ingredient selection to formulation, testing, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, production support, and product launch.
• The role collaborates closely with Marketing, Operations, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure products meet customer expectations, maintain brand integrity, comply with regulatory requirements, and achieve commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead research and development activities for skincare, beauty, cosmetic, and wellness products.
• Identify emerging trends in beauty, skincare, and personal care markets.
• Research innovative ingredients, technologies, and formulation techniques.
• Develop product concepts based on consumer needs and market opportunities.
• Conduct competitor analysis to identify product improvement opportunities.
• Maintain awareness of global beauty and cosmetic industry trends.
• Evaluate product stability, effectiveness, texture, fragrance, and performance.
• Modify formulations based on testing outcomes and customer feedback.
• Maintain detailed formulation records and development documentation.
• Evaluate alternatives to improve product quality and cost efficiency.
• Maintain an updated ingredient database.

Required Experience

• 4 -8 years experience in cosmetic formulation, skincare development, personal care manufacturing, or related industries.
• Proven experience developing beauty, skincare, or wellness products.
• Experience with:
  • Product testing
  • Ingredient evaluation
  • Quality assurance
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Manufacturing processes

• Experience within cosmetics, skincare, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or wellness companies is highly preferred.

Salary
N400,00 per month.
