Job Title: Fleet Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Fleet Operations: Plan, schedule, and manage day-to-day use of company vehicles, trucks, or equipment
• Maintenance & Compliance: Schedule preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and ensure vehicles and equipments meet local regulations
• Driver’s & Operators Management: Oversee driver’s and operators schedules, training, safety programs, and performance. Handle licensing, certifications, and compliance
• Vehicle/Truck/Machines/Equipment Oversight: Manage the condition, maintenance, and scheduling of all fleet vehicles, trucks, machinery and equipment’s
• Driver Coordination: Assign routes, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all vehicles and operations meet legal and safety requirements.
• Cost Efficiency: Optimize fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and routing to reduce operational costs.
• Fleet Policy Implementation: Develop and enforce policies for vehicle use, driver behavior, and reporting.
• Reporting: Provide reports on fleet performance, costs, utilization, and KPIs to senior management
• Safety & Risk: Enforce safety policies, manage accidents, insurance claims, and ensure compliance with traffic laws

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years in fleet management, logistics, or transportation. Experience with light-duty, heavy-duty, or mixed fleets
• Professional certification is an added advantage.
