Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide financial leadership and oversight across the organization.
- The CFO will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing financial performance, and supporting business growth through sound financial management.
- The ideal candidate will lead the finance and accounts team, strengthen internal controls, minimize financial errors, ensure timely tax and statutory remittances, and provide insightful financial analysis to support executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Provide financial guidance and recommendations to executive management.
- Support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business expansion initiatives.
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial records and transactions.
- Maintain strong financial controls and accounting procedures across the organization.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial health of the business.
- Present financial reports and insights to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the finance and accounts team.
- Establish performance standards and ensure accountability within the department.
- Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of accuracy, compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Compliance, Taxation & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and timely remittance of taxes, pensions, PAYE, VAT, WHT, and other statutory obligations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
- Implement measures to reduce financial risks, errors, fraud, and compliance breaches.
- Ensure successful completion of internal and external audits.
Budgeting & Financial Planning:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasting activities.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis reports.
- Develop financial models and projections to support business decisions.
- Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of company resources.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CFA, or equivalent is required.
- MBA or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, budgeting, and corporate finance.
- Experience managing finance teams and driving process improvements.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
