Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Ijora, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to design, develop, implement, and maintain electrical systems and components in line with required technical specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for power generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • Perform electrical calculations, load analysis, and system design.
  • Prepare technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and related engineering documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections and supervise electrical installation and maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and provide effective technical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, contractors, project managers, and other technical teams.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular technical and operational reports to management.
  • Conduct testing, commissioning, and quality assurance of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
  • Ensure all electrical works are completed in accordance with approved specifications and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 1 – 3 years of relevant experience in power, construction, industrial, or related environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, or similar tools.
  • Good understanding of local and international electrical codes and standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
