Essence Crop Science Nigeria Limited, an agrochemical manufacturing company, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement Officer – Workshop Consumables

Location: Ibeju Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase workshop consumables, tools, spare parts, and routine operational supplies.
• Source suppliers, obtain quotations, and evaluate offers based on price, quality, lead time, and commercial terms.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, and follow up on deliveries to ensure materials are received on time to support production requirements.
• Coordinate with workshop and warehouse/store teams to confirm material specifications and replenishment needs.
• Maintain accurate supplier records, purchasing documentation, and procurement reports.
• Monitor purchasing activities and support cost-saving initiatives while ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing, engineering, or workshop environment.
• Knowledge of industrial consumables, basic technical specifications, and standard procurement processes.
• Experience using ERP or procurement systems is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong supplier sourcing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze quotations and evaluate costs effectively.
• Experience in purchase order processing and delivery follow-up.
• Good understanding of inventory control and material replenishment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) and ERP/procurement systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, integrity, and teamwork.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.

Salary
N250,000 - N280,000 per month.
