Description

• We are seeking to recruit a competent, experienced, and safety-conscious Heavy-Duty Vehicle Electrician to join its Maintenance Team and support the efficient operation of its fleet of heavy-duty trucks, earthmoving equipment, and construction machinery.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on heavy-duty vehicles and construction equipment.
• Troubleshooting and maintaining starting, charging, lighting, ignition, and electronic control systems.
• Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
• Attending promptly to equipment and vehicle breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Repairing and replacing defective wiring, sensors, relays, switches, alternators, starters, batteries, and related components.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and fault diagnosis reports.
• Ensuring all repaired equipment is tested and fit for operation before release.
• Adhering to all company safety policies, maintenance procedures, and HSE requirements
• Working collaboratively with mechanics, operators, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel to achieve operational objectives.

Requirements
Interested candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• OND, Trade Test Certificate, Technical School Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years' proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Vehicle Electrician.
• Experience working on heavy-duty trucks, low beds, excavators, wheel loaders, cranes, generators, and other construction equipment.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment electrical systems, including starters, alternators, batteries, sensors, relays, wiring harnesses, and electronic control modules (ECMs).
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults accurately using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and attend to emergency breakdowns.
