Job Title: Human Resources & Administrative Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Description

  • We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Human Resources & Administrative Officer in the Finance sector to be responsible for managing the Company’s human resources and administrative functions, ensuring effective recruitment, employee management, policy implementation, payroll administration, office operations, and compliance with labor laws while supporting the achievement of organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment, interviews, onboarding, and employee confirmations.
  • Prepare HR documents including offer letters, employment contracts, and other employee correspondence.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
  • Administer payroll, leave, HMO, pension, PAYE, and other employee benefits.
  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
  • Support performance management.
  • Oversee office administration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and statutory requirements.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Update the HR Information System (HRIS) with employee information.
  • Monitor employee leave records and attendance.

Recruitment Support:

  • Post job vacancies on recruitment platforms.
  • Screen applications and shortlist candidates.
  • Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates.
  • Conduct reference and background checks where applicable.
  • Prepare recruitment reports and maintain candidate databases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years’ experience in HR and Administration.
  • Professional HR certification (CIPM is an added advantage.
  • Experience using HRIS or payroll systems is an advantage.
