We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Ondo

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot and improve PLC, SCADA and industrial automation systems.
  • Diagnose control-system faults affecting production equipment.
  • Support PLC programming, modification and backup management.
  • Maintain human-machine interfaces and supervisory-control systems.
  • Troubleshoot sensors, relays, contactors, drives, control panels and communication networks.
  • Support integration of instruments, motors, drives and production equipment.
  • Maintain automation documentation, logic backups, electrical schematics and control narratives.
  • Participate in commissioning of new machinery and control systems.
  • Improve process automation, equipment sequencing and alarm management.
  • Support production-data capture and equipment-performance monitoring.
  • Implement controls that improve safety, product consistency, energy efficiency and equipment reliability.
  • Work with OEMs and technical contractors during upgrades and major repairs.
  • Ensure all changes to control logic are properly approved, tested and documented.

Requirements
Applicants should possess:

  • B.Eng., B.Sc. or HND in the relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of three years’ relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Practical experience in an industrial, manufacturing, food-processing or FMCG environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals and equipment documentation.
  • Good knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Sound understanding of workplace safety and engineering controls.
  • Ability to prepare clear reports and maintain accurate technical records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends or during planned shutdowns where required.
  • Professional registration with COREN or membership of a recognised engineering body will be an advantage.

Preferred Technical Exposure:
Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:

  • Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider or similar PLC platforms
  • SCADA and HMI systems
  • Variable frequency drives
  • Industrial Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus or related networks
  • Industrial control panels
  • Sensors and actuators
  • Process automation
  • Machine interlocks and safety systems
