The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria was established as an umbrella Association for Practitioners of Personnel Management in 1968 as the Personnel Management Association of Nigeria. In 1973, it was renamed as Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria. Finally, Act No 58 of 1992 chartered the Institute.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Data Analyst Officer
Location: Head Office, Lagos (Office & Field Based)
Reports To: Team Lead, Member Care & Database Management
Job Purpose

Supports the Institute's database management and member care operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, seamless portal integration, and optimal end-to-end service delivery for existing and prospective members.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Database Management & Reporting:
- Daily updates of member records (e.g., change of name, correspondence address) with a target error rate below 1%.
- Upload newly inducted members to the database within 1–2 weeks post-induction.
- Ensure all Excel member data is cleaned, structured, and migrated to the main portal.
- Collaborate with IT to enforce data security protocols, backup procedures, and recovery plans.
- Generate regular membership statistics, subscription reports, and the official Annual General Meeting (AGM) list prior to the AGM.
- Compile eligibility lists for membership upgrades (Full Member and Fellow status).
Financial & Subscription Administration:
- Dispatch subscription debit notices to members in Q1, with structured follow-ups (calls, SMS, emails) across Q2 and Q3.
- Work with Finance to capture payments on the portal within 24 hours of notification, assisting with monthly reconciliations and financial reporting.
Member Care & Stakeholder Relations:
- Respond promptly to member inquiries via email and telephone, resolving complaints within a maximum 48-hour window.
- Support the Team Lead in executing member communication strategies across deployed channels.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating the Institute's Annual General Meeting and special membership projects.
Requirements & Person Specification
Education & Qualifications:
- Education: HND or Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-graduation experience in a similar role within a reputable organization.
- Professional Membership: CIPM professional membership is compulsory.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Skills: SQL proficiency, database management, record-keeping, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), business intelligence, and analytics.
- Core Skills: Customer service management, result orientation, emotional intelligence, planning/organizing, and strong attention to detail.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent oral/written communication and a proven ability to build collaborative internal and external relationships.

- Travel Expectation: 0% – 30%
Salary
N2,100,000 - N2,400,000 Annually.
