Job Title: Milling and Embedding Machine Operator

Location: Ibeju Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• A Milling and Embedding Operator is responsible for setting up and operating automated machinery to mill cavities into raw card bodies and embed microchips (modules) into them.
• They ensure production aligns with strict technical parameters, maintain equipment, and perform quality checks on the finished smart cards.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Calibration: Configure mills and embedding tools based on job orders, blueprints, and specific technical parameters.
• Material Management: Ensure the correct card bodies, microchips, and consumables (such as adhesive glue tape) are loaded and ready before production begins.
• Production & Monitoring: Run the production line, continuously monitor the milling/embedding depth and precision, and adjust controls (feed rates, speed) as needed.
• Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections of the products using precision measuring tools to ensure dimensions, tolerances, and placement accuracy meet strict client specifications.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform first-level preventative maintenance, replace worn tools (e.g., punch tools), and report complex equipment failures.
• Documentation: Record job logs, production status, and material usage into the production logbook or system.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1 to 5years of hands-on experience in CNC, smart card packaging, or electromechanical machine operation.
• Technical Aptitude: Ability to interpret work tickets, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and capable of repetitive physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Computer Literacy: Basic knowledge of computer systems for inputting data and running CNC programs.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong multitasking, ability to troubleshoot problems quickly, and the integrity to handle secure production materials.

Salary
N250,000 / month.
