Job Title: HVAC Technician

Locations: Island and Mainland, Lagos

Overview

• We are seeking a skilled and proactive HVAC Technician with 1–5 years of hands-on experience to join our facilities/maintenance team.
• The ideal candidate will install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
• This role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and dependable performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, boilers, chillers, DX units, air handlers and related controls.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, schematics, and equipment manuals; translate requirements into precise field actions.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues; perform leak testing and refrigerant recovery in compliance with regulations.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Calibrate and configure building automation systems (BMS/AMX/Honeywell/Siemens or equivalent) and pneumatic/field controls.
• Replace faulty components (motors, condensers, compressors, sensors, valves) and install customer-specified filters and components.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, ASHRAE, local codes) and safety policies.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as part of an on-call rotation if required.

Qualifications

• 1 – 5 years of hands-on HVAC technician experience.
• EPA 608 or higher refrigerant certification.
• Valid HVAC technician license or equivalent
• NATE certification is a plus; OSHA 10/OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training preferred.
• Optional but valued: HVAC Commissioning certification, HVAC Controls certification.
• Proficiency with HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair across commercial, industrial, and/or residential settings.
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring, refrigerant circuits, thermodynamics, and control systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and equipment schematics; familiarity with service manuals.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, multimeters, refrigerant recovery machines, manometers, and calibration tools.

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 / month.
